GreenTick FAQs will answer all your questions
General Information
What is GreenTick?
GreenTick is a high-performance WhatsApp Business API platform designed for growing businesses. It provides a lag-free dashboard with a shared multi-agent inbox, high-speed bulk broadcasting, and a powerful campaign and template manager – all built on Meta’s official WhatsApp Cloud API infrastructure.
What is WABA (WhatsApp Business API)?
WABA is Meta’s official enterprise solution that allows businesses to communicate with customers at scale. Unlike the standard free WhatsApp Business app on your phone, WABA allows for multiple support agents, automated chatbots, and massive broadcast campaigns without the risk of your number being randomly blocked.
How is GreenTick different from other WhatsApp tools?
GreenTick sits in the perfect middle: it provides enterprise-grade stability, zero per-seat fees, and honest transparent pricing so you can scale safely.
Messaging Features
What type of messages can I send using GreenTick?
You can send everything from transactional updates (like order confirmations and shipping alerts) to rich-media promotional broadcasts (including images, videos, PDFs, and interactive buttons) to your opted-in contact lists.
What is a template message?
To start a new conversation with a customer (or message them outside of the standard 24-hour service window), Meta requires you to use a pre-approved “Template Message.” This is Meta’s way of preventing spam. GreenTick makes it incredibly easy to create, submit, and manage these templates directly from your dashboard.
How many numbers can I use for a single business?
You can connect multiple official phone numbers to your GreenTick workspace. This is perfect if you want different departments (like Sales and Support) or different regional branches to have their own dedicated WhatsApp lines.
Is there a daily message limit?
Yes, Meta assigns a messaging tier to every official API number. New numbers typically start with a limit of 1,000 business-initiated conversations per day. As you send high-quality broadcasts and users interact with them, Meta automatically upgrades your limit to 10k, 100k, and eventually unlimited messages.
Will my WhatsApp number get banned?
Because GreenTick uses the official WhatsApp Business API, the risk of your number getting banned for using unauthorized software is completely eliminated. As long as you are messaging opted-in customers and following Meta’s standard commerce policies, your number and your brand reputation are safe.
Can I automate replies or build sequences?
Automated chatbots and reply sequences are on our roadmap and coming soon. Right now, your team can manage all incoming conversations in real time through GreenTick’s shared multi-agent inbox, ensuring no customer message goes unanswered.
Setup & Account
How do I link my WhatsApp Business Account?
Go to Settings → WhatsApp Setup. Log in to your Meta Business Manager when prompted. GreenTick handles the full API connection – no developer needed. Your number goes live in minutes.
Can I use my existing WhatsApp Business App number on GreenTick?
Yes. Select “Connect Existing Account” during setup. Your number stays active on your phone’s WhatsApp Business App and also works from GreenTick’s dashboard simultaneously – this is called Coexistence. If you want a fresh or virtual number instead, select “Start with a New Number” during onboarding.
Can I migrate my existing WhatsApp number to GreenTick?
Yes. During setup, delete the existing WhatsApp account from your mobile app via Settings → Account → Delete Account, wait a few minutes, then link the number to the API through GreenTick. The process takes about 5 minutes.
I skipped importing chat history during Coexistence setup. Can I do it later?
No. If you skip the chat history import during the Coexistence setup, you cannot import it later without completely restarting the entire onboarding process from scratch. This is a one-time decision – make sure you choose before proceeding past that screen.
My WhatsApp Business Account got restricted immediately after creation - why?
This is almost always a Meta Business Manager issue, not a GreenTick one. The most common causes: your website URL is missing from Meta Business Info, your company name or address does not exactly match your website, your business falls under a restricted category (crypto, gambling, adult content), or your Business Manager has prior violations. Fill every field in Meta Business Portfolio before creating your WABA, especially the website URL field.
Templates & Messaging
How do I create and send a broadcast?
Open Broadcasts from the sidebar, choose a phone number, then click New Broadcast. Select an approved template, pick your audience, then schedule or send.
Why was my message template rejected?
Common causes: wrong template category (e.g., promotional content inside a Utility template), vague or missing variables, or language that violates WhatsApp’s guidelines. Check the rejection reason in Template Manager, rewrite accordingly, and resubmit. Meta approves most templates within a few hours.
Do I always need a template to message customers?
Yes, for any business-initiated outbound message. Free-form replies are only allowed within a 24-hour window after a customer messages you first. After that window closes, you must use an approved template to continue the conversation.
Contacts & Broadcasts
How do I import contacts?
Go to Contacts → Import. Upload a CSV with name and phone number columns. Ensure numbers include country codes (e.g., +91XXXXXXXXXX for India). Invalid or duplicate numbers are skipped automatically during import.
My broadcast shows "Sent" but messages are not being delivered. Why?
Several possible causes: the recipient’s number is no longer active, they have blocked your number, the message template has been paused, or you have crossed your daily messaging tier limit. Check your campaign error codes in the GreenTick dashboard.
If you see error 131049, the recipient has already received their daily maximum of marketing messages from other businesses — this is Meta’s frequency capping and is outside your control.
If all messages are failing at once, check metastatus.com for a Meta platform outage before troubleshooting your setup.
Bans, Limits & Quality
Will my number get banned for sending bulk messages through GreenTick?
No – when used correctly. GreenTick uses the Official WhatsApp Cloud API. Unlike Chrome extensions or unofficial bulk senders, your number is protected at the infrastructure level. Bans happen when businesses message non-opted-in contacts, use cold lists, or ignore quality rating warnings. Follow opt-in rules and send to engaged contacts only.
What are my daily sending limits? How do I increase them?
Unverified accounts start at 250 contacts per day (Tier 0). After Meta Business Verification, you move to Tier 1 at 2,000 per day. Tiers upgrade automatically to 10,000, 100,000, and Unlimited based on quality and consistent volume. As of October 2025, these limits apply at the Business Portfolio level – all your numbers share one tier. There is no manual upgrade request – maintain a Green quality rating and the system scales you automatically.
My quality rating dropped. What do I do?
Pause non-essential broadcasts immediately. A Red quality rating freezes your ability to move to a higher tier but no longer automatically reduces your current tier (as of October 2025). Audit your contact list, remove anyone who did not explicitly opt in, and add an opt-out line to all marketing templates (e.g., “Reply STOP to unsubscribe”). Quality typically recovers within 7 to 14 days of clean, consent-based messaging.
My number got banned. How do I appeal?
Go to Meta Business Suite → WhatsApp Manager and check your account status. If restricted, look for a “Request Review” button directly on the status page – this is the fastest route. Alternatively, email business-support@whatsapp.com. Contact GreenTick support first – as an official Meta BSP, we have a dedicated escalation channel and can often resolve it faster than a direct email.
Billing & Plans
What are the limits on the free plan?
The free plan lets you explore the GreenTick dashboard including Broadcasts, Contacts, and Templates. Limits apply on contact volume, broadcast sends, and team seats. Go to Manage Plan to see your current usage and upgrade when ready.
How do I upgrade my plan?
Open Manage Plan from the sidebar to view subscription options. If online payment is unavailable, contact support and we will process your upgrade manually.
What does Meta charge separately, and what does GreenTick charge?
Two separate bills. GreenTick charges a platform fee for the dashboard, shared inbox, bulk broadcasting, and campaign management. Meta separately charges per conversation – one 24-hour messaging session with one customer, regardless of how many messages are exchanged in that window. GreenTick keeps its markup lower than industry standard with no hidden per-conversation fees on top of Meta’s rates.
