How to Set Up a WhatsApp Catalog in GreenTick

Let Customers Browse and Buy Without Leaving Chat

Create your catalog in Meta, link it to your number, assign GreenTick as a partner, and turn on visibility - five steps across a few different screens, laid out in order.

Introduction

Your Products, Right Inside the Chat

A WhatsApp catalog lets customers browse your products or services, ask questions, and even check out, all without leaving the conversation. Setting it up touches four different screens - GreenTick, Meta Commerce Manager, WhatsApp Manager, and Meta Business Settings - so this walks through each one in the exact order that works.

Walkthrough

How to Connect a WhatsApp Catalog

Five steps, each opening a different screen - follow them in order the first time.

1️⃣ Create your catalog

  1. From the Catalogs page in GreenTick, click Open Commerce Manager.
  2. Click the plus icon to add a new catalog.
  3. A popup asks if you’re sure – click Continue to make a new one (not “Use an existing catalogue”).
  4. On the New Catalogue page, choose what best describes your products or services (like Professional Services or Online Products), pick your Business Portfolio, and give it a name.
  5. Under Connect Your Data, add a dataset if you don’t have one yet – keep the default otherwise – then click Next.
  6. Choose Manually add your products, then click Next.
  7. Fill in the product grid – at minimum, the required fields for each product. Click the image icon to upload a photo and hit Save, then add a title and description.
  8. Click Upload Products– your catalog is created, and an Overview screen confirms it. You’ll need at least 5 products later to unlock every ad format, but that’s optional for now.

2️⃣ Link the catalog to your number

  1. Back on GreenTick’s Catalogs page, click Open WhatsApp Manager Catalog.
  2. On the Catalogue page, click Choose a Catalogue.
  3. In the Connect a Catalogue popup, search for and select the catalog you just created.
  4. Click Connect– you’ll see “Catalogue successfully connected.”

3️⃣ Assign GreenTick as a partner

  1. First, copy the GreenTick Business IDshown on the Catalogs page in your dashboard.
  2. Click Open Catalog Partner Settings.
  3. Find your catalog in the list, open it, and click Assign Partner.
  4. Choose Business ID (not “Get Link to Share”).
  5. Paste the GreenTick Business ID, toggle on Full Access (Manage Everything)– Basic or Partial access isn’t enough – and click Assign.

4️⃣ Copy the Catalog ID and link it

  1. Click Open Catalog Settings in Meta to see your Assets list.
  2. Click on your catalog to open it.
  3. Copy the Catalog ID from the browser’s URL – it’s the number right after /catalogs/.
  4. Paste it into the Catalog ID field on the GreenTick dashboard and click Link Catalog.
  5. Your catalog now shows as Active in GreenTick, with its products, category, and its own Add Product button.

5️⃣ Turn on catalog visibility

  1. On your connected catalog’s page in GreenTick, click the Commerce Settings tab.
  2. Turn on Shopping Cart Enabled and Catalog Visibility (storefront / wa.me links)

❗Once it’s connected, you don’t have to go back to Meta to add products – GreenTick’s own Catalogs page has an Add Product button too. Watch this video for how to manage products directly from the dashboard going forward.

Good to Know

Straight From Meta

Official Documentation

Every product you add to a linked catalog gets automatically reviewed against WhatsApp’s Commerce Policies – a policy-violating item gets flagged, and customers can also report a specific product they receive in a message. Meta’s own overview covers every message format a catalog can power, from single product cards to full catalog browsing.

Wrapping Up

Your Catalog Is Live

That's a fully connected WhatsApp catalog - created, linked, partnered, and visible. From here, share it with customers using a catalog message template, or send it straight from a broadcast.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a WhatsApp catalog?

A structured list of your products or services, uploaded to Meta and connected to your WhatsApp Business Account, that customers can browse, ask about, and order from directly inside a chat.

No. Meta allows one catalog per WhatsApp Business Account. If you need to switch, you’ll have to disconnect the current one first.

Without Full Access assigned to GreenTick’s Business ID, GreenTick can’t manage products or read your catalog’s data – Basic or Partial access isn’t enough for that.

Your wa.me catalog links will show “Invalid catalog link” to anyone who clicks them, even though the catalog itself is connected and active.

Yes, once your catalog is linked. The Products tab on your Catalogs page in GreenTick has its own Add Product button, so you don’t need to go back to Meta Commerce Manager every time.
Online Products, Apps and Software, Other, Articles and Publications, Streaming Media, or Professional Services. Other catalog types created in Meta Commerce Manager can’t be linked.
A catalog already connected to another WABA can’t be linked here until it’s disconnected there first.
